Richmond star Noah Balta faces jail time over coward attack during a drunken night out over the New Year’s holiday. On a drunken night out on the Victoria and New South Wales border town Mulwala during the New Year’s Day period. Richmond defender Noah Balta cowardly attacked a man, who he thought was arguing with his brother, which was false and doesn’t excuse Noah Balta’s actions at all and deserves to be punished.

Where to from now? The AFL and Richmond football club should never let Noah Balta play an AFL game again, and it would be appalling if they let him run onto the field again. His seven-year contract he signed last year should be terminated and Richmond shouldn’t have to pay him out.

The victim Tom Washbrook took to social media to claim, “I came out for a good night, not to get flogged for no reason.” Which shows the hurt Washbrook is suffering, he’s also currently in a legal battle attempting to get paid out for the mental and physical damage to him. The incident was that serious that prosecutor stated “the victim could’ve been killed” which is scary to think someone with the ability to do that can be playing in the AFL who is supposed to be a role model for young people to look up to.

The AFL have come out with a statement allowing Noah Balta to play in gather round which has the community outraged. Tom Washbrook’s father stated “I hope he never comes back” which proves the anger from Washbrook’s family surrounding the incident and the damages that have occurred to the Washbrook family.

Overall, Noah Balta should never be allowed to wear the yellow and black again, more needed to be done by the AFL they needed to intervene and make a stance and set a precent and not allow Noah Balta to play again.
